HUA XIA TECH COMPANY LIMITED (“we”, “our”, “us”), operating the Jobsoko platform, provides a job search and recruitment service that connects job seekers and employers in Tanzania and other supported regions.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our mobile application and website.
By using Jobsoko, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
2.1 Information you provide directly
Depending on how you use Jobsoko, we may collect the information below.
Account registration on Jobsoko. When you create or sign in to an account directly on our app or website (not via a third-party provider), we require your email address and phone number.
Third-party sign-in (where offered). If we offer optional sign-in through a third-party service (for example Google, Apple, or similar providers), you may choose to use it. In that case we may receive information that provider shares with us according to your choices and that provider’s policies, such as your name, email address, profile photo, and a unique account identifier. We may still collect or request a phone number or other details where needed for job matching, security, or legal compliance.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your account (including third-party sign-in where offered)
- Provide job matching and application services
- Allow employers to review candidates
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Send important notifications (job alerts, updates)
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
- Comply with legal obligations
4. User Generated Content
Jobsoko is a user-generated content (UGC) platform. Users may upload CVs and profiles, employers may post job listings, and users may send messages or submit other content through the app or website.
Users are responsible for the content they upload. You must not post false, misleading, harassing, discriminatory, or illegal material. Jobsoko reserves the right to remove inappropriate or misleading content, suspend accounts, or take other action when content violates applicable laws, regulations, or our Terms of Service.
Reporting content: If you believe a job listing, profile, message, or other content is inappropriate, fraudulent, or harmful, report it by emailing support@jobsoko.co.tz with a link, screenshot, or short description. We review reports and respond within a reasonable time.
Content moderation: We may use automated systems and human review to detect spam, scams, and policy violations. Reported or flagged content may be removed without prior notice. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share your data in the following cases:

Your CV and profile data may be shared when you apply for a job.
5.2 Service providers
We may use trusted third-party services for:
- Google Firebase and related Google services (analytics, crash reporting, and authentication where third-party sign-in is offered)
- Cloud hosting providers
- Email notification systems

5.3 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law or government request.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:
- Active accounts: stored until you delete your account
- Deleted accounts: data removed or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe (typically 30–90 days)
- Legal requirements may require longer retention

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Request a copy of your data (data export)
- Withdraw consent for certain data processing

8. Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time:
- In the Jobsoko app — go to Settings (or Account) and tap Delete account; you will be taken to Privacy Choices to submit your request.
- On the web — visit https://jobsoko.co.tz/privacy-choices/, choose Account deletion in the form, or email support@jobsoko.co.tz from your registered email address or with your registered phone number in the message.
After verification, we aim to process deletion within 7–14 business days. Personal data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, typically 30–90 days, unless law requires longer retention. See Privacy Choices for what is deleted and how requests are handled.
9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
- Secure servers and cloud infrastructure
- Access control for internal systems
However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
Jobsoko is a job search and recruitment platform intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not ask for your age or date of birth during routine sign-up.
By using Jobsoko, you confirm that you meet the minimum age in our Terms of Service (at least 16 years old, or the legal minimum working age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone we know to be under that minimum age.
If you believe someone below the minimum age in our Terms has provided personal data on Jobsoko, please contact support@jobsoko.co.tz. We will review the report and delete the relevant account and data where appropriate.
11. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services such as:
- Google Firebase and related Google services — including Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for analytics and crash reporting. Where we offer third-party sign-in (such as Google Sign-In), we may also use Firebase Authentication or comparable services to verify your account. Direct sign-in on Jobsoko uses your email and phone number as described in Section 2.
- Cloud hosting providers — to store and run the Jobsoko platform
- Email notification systems — to send job alerts, account messages, and support-related email
These providers may process limited data (such as device identifiers, app usage events, and crash logs) strictly to operate, secure, and improve Jobsoko. This description is intended to align with our App Store privacy disclosures and App Privacy nutrition label.
12. International Data Transfer
Your data may be stored or processed outside your country, including regions with different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place where required.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
